I’m the owner of Tuff Cat Tattoo and I’ve been tattooing, mostly in Toronto, since 2009. After working in several traditional tattoo shops and one queer tattoo collective, I decided to open this little shop.
I’d describe my style as neo-traditional, mixed with illustration and sprinkled with touches of realism. I work in colour and black and grey and am confident working on all skin tones, over-healed scars, and covering up existing tattoos.
My favourite subject matter is anything weird & fun, queer content, animals, florals & plants, Art Deco & Art Nouveau-inspired designs. That said, I’m definitely here for some little tats & gap fillers or working from a very specific reference image (as long as it’s not copying someone else’s custom tattoo).
I’m deeply committed to body acceptance and fat liberation, racial justice, & queer rights. My ultimate goal is to treat every client with the respect they deserve while making some rad tatz!!! My pronouns are they/them, she /her.

Hey friends! My name is Emma James (she/they) and I am tattooer & queer person based in Toronto, ON (with regular time spent in Halifax NS!)
I’ve been tattooing since 2011, in almost every style you can think of. My strengths are traditional, neo-traditional, japanese, fine line, black & grey, and stipling styles (really anything based primarily in line-work).
I have a lot of experience with both walk-ins and custom design work and I regularly paint flash and have designs up for grabs. I also have no problem doing coverups, provided I know I can do them to the best of my ability.
Bring me your designs or your half-baked ideas and I can get it working! I'm flexible, dedicated to my craft, and overall just looking to giving you the best tattoo I can. Some of my creative inspirations include pulp sci-fi/fantasy novels, bronze age comic books, 90’s neon, and botanical illustrations.
I have no interest in judging clients based on their bodies.
Every body is beautiful & every body can have amazing looking tattoos (And anyone who tells you differently is a fucking liar). Similarly, I'm not here to judge your tattoo ideas. If you like it and you want it (and you’re over 18), I will give it to you! I strongly believe in bringing kindness and compassion to everything that I do (blame the Buddhist readings) and that extends to my tattooing. I want you to be excited when you walk into my shop and have a fun, memorable experience getting your tattoo.
I'm an art school drop out (but Philosophy major graduate, go figure) and you will often catch me drawing, painting and hanging out with my animals in my spare time.

Andy (she/her) is also known as SoapGhost because she is bonkers about hygiene and cleanliness!
She has been an artist since she could pick up a crayon and has been tattooing since 2018.
She has experience in a variety of styles - whatever her clients bring to her - Illustrative, Realistic and everything in between. She is great at helping someone visualize their “Hearts’ Desire” and plan their tattoo collaboratively. From theme to placement to design details - she will guide the process expertly.
Check out Andy’s finished tattoos to see this range of styles. Then go look at her healed ones. As she likes to say “The Reveal is in the Heal”. A great healed tattoo is the goal!
She was trained initially in American Traditional, and you can see how this style has influenced her tattoo designs. There is attention placed on colour and shading contrast, and she adjusts small details so the tattoo will last a life-time on the skin. She loves to create tattoos defined by linework of varying thicknesses, gradients, emptiness, and texture. Check out her Available Flash Designs to see what we mean!
She doesn’t have a favorite subject matter as much as a favorite style (but she does love commemorative tattoos, and “family tree” tattoos).
Ornamental and mandalas (she can custom make these with any theme you like!). Bugs and frogs and sea creatures. FLOWERZZZZZ! Things with hats! Stickers from 1991. Snakes.

I’m Saurin aka Saurocat (they/them) and I’m a queer non-binary tattooer based in Toronto, Canada.
I’ve worn many artistic hats (including my daily colourful touques) and have an armful of arts diplomas including a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I've worked with an array of mediums: ceramics, gallery paintings, fashion, and graphic design before finding my calling with tattooing in 2019.
I am comfortable with walk-in or custom designs! I'm proficient in both colour and black and grey, and love stylistically pushing the boundary between adorable and weird. I have a special fondness for dynamic large-scale bright and colourful illustrative and narrative based neo-traditional tattoos. I approach composition to accentuate the forms of the body at rest and in motion.
I'm flexible, devoted to my craft, and overall looking to give you the best tattoo that works with your unique body! Some of my creative inspirations include anime, mythology and folklore, horror, videogames, and retro aesthetics.
When I’m not tattooing, I spend my time snuggling my cat Broccoli (aka Borkus), hyper-fixating on a recent obsession, binge watching anime, rock climbing, and doing fire performances with the local circus community.
I’m deeply committed to body acceptance, social justice and queer rights. My ultimate goal is to treat every client with the respect they deserve while making their skin sing.

Liza Musselman (she/her) comes from a fine arts background and has been tattooing in Toronto since 2007.
She’s known for her bold line work, vibrant colours and neo-traditional/illustrative style, however she also enjoys tattooing in black and grey. Liza loves working with clients to bring their ideas to life and is open to all types of subject matter. Don’t be shy, no idea is too weird, in fact, the sillier the better! Her favourite things to tattoo are animals, plants (pretty much anything from nature), pet portraits, lady heads, glam eyes and anything pop-culture related.
With many years of experience in the industry, Liza is confident with cover-ups (she really enjoys doing them!), tattooing over scars, and working with all body types and skin tones. She is committed to making her tattoos accessible to everyone and to creating an inclusive, welcoming and comfortable space for all her clients.
Outside of the studio you’ll find Liza drawing, cooking, enjoying comedy TV/movies and everything animated, or spending quality time with friends and family, especially her husband Mark and of course her sweet kitty Pickles!

Also known as Local Crew Tattoo, and I’ve been tattooing in Toronto since 2017. Strange handle right? That’s because for most of the week I work in my first career as a stagehand (the local crew), primarily building scenery for the National Ballet of Canada. I’m an all around lover of the arts, no matter what medium and have been balancing both careers this whole time! Sleep? Who needs it!
I would describe my main style as colour illustrative, although I’m happy to create your tattoo vision in any style you prefer. My clients come to me for lots of customs, cover ups and some of my silly flash concepts. I’m happy to design colour tattoos for any skin tone, change up the colours in my flash sheets to meet your preferences, and involve you in the design process ( I’ll slide into your DMs the week before). Don’t be shy to ask for your design in black and grey, I do that too! Small tattoos? Hell yeah let’s do it!
Some of my past favourites have been animal portraits, embroidery style patch designs, jewelry inspired bedazzled imagery, anything food or animal related, kid’s drawings in crayon style and anything totally wild! Half man half motorcycle, done it. Kraft dinner pin up mermaid with a macaroni face, done it. Hugh Heffner hotdog man, done it. I can and will go on.
In the wee hours I’m not working I can be found hanging out with friends, going to shows (concerts, theatre, indie wrestling!), trying to squeeze a fitness class in and staring into the void. Enough about me, I want to know about you. I look forward to being your artist and creating amazing body art with you!
